This is just a blog about my thoughts, my family, my everyday life. Because I am a Christian and have ups and downs like everyone else, I hope it will encourage others to either turn to Christ for the first time, or lean on Him when times are rough. Often life is just random and funny. I started this blog after many years of writing to my church about our vacations. They began to encourage me to blog and finally I am. Thanks for reading.

More Play Practice

The picture of enthusiasm
Okay, so our Christmas play is about 9 days away with only one more practice....I shudder to think.  My choir director Amy agreed with me that this is the most unprepared we have felt about a Christmas play.  It will be interesting to say the least. It has been my experience that at times like this the only thing to do is...press on as if anything that happens was exactly what we wanted to happen.  The children will be wonderful and they can really sing...if they can remember the words..and no, no sheet music allowed on stage.
We are doing an advent Christmas, with reading of the word, lighting of candles - (a real opportunity for disaster to step in), and one angel, one shepherd, and one wise man to represent all that went on surrounding the birth of Jesus. (The wise men actually did not show up for a couple of years later.)
So here are a few pictures of our most recent practice.  Pressing on...

Matthew 18:3-4   "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.  Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
