We have been in Chicago for four days and are leaving in the morning. It has been a whirlwind trip with lots happening back home, but we have been able to stay the course in spite of it all. We thank God for His watchful care. I will share some highlights with you, though the best ones can't be captured on camera. If you are a 'Grammy', you know what I mean.

Matt, Jana, TJ, Addie, Levi, and Ricky |
Ricky loves piano lessons. |
Levi's serenade. |
Dinner out. |
Jana and Matt took us on a crime tour bus where we learned about the gangsters of yesteryear. (I am a mystery and crime buff, so this was really fun.) |
Harry Carey's (take me out to the ballgame) restaurant was built over the hideout of Frank Nitty. We went into the basement to view his 'shrine'. |
Frank Nitty's safe |
These were tunnels that the bad guys used to escape. |
This caught my eye on one of the old newspapers. |
Movie night |

Ricky Ryan |
Thomas James - TJ |
This is the reason for visiting at this particular time. We sat through a four hour recital to see this little girl. It was worth it...and we are really good grandparents. |
Sunday night walk to the park. |
We stopped for tacos on the way home. |
I found these guys in my bed to keep me company while I write. |
So fun!! So glad you are enjoying this time with your family. I visited Chicago back in 2011 and had so much fun. I loved all of the history in the city; we did all of the touristy things!
